Will Your Anchor Hold

I bought a painting of a row boat from Thomas Schaller. What attracted me to it was the idea of the boat as a metaphor for our lives. That idea has been in my mind since taking a short class on the Irish story, The Voyage of Saint Brendan taught by Kim Starr Reid. The anchor has been a Christian symbol from the early days of the church. It was found in the Catacombs in Rome. Clement of Rome was said to have been martyred by having an anchor tied around his neck and thrown into the sea. Hebrews 6:19 "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm, and secure"

It is 29x37" in a shadow box frame
